The FOGO Lacrosse team is comprised of Alex Smith and David Tamberrino. Rivals in high school, Alex and David faced-off against each other in Maryland’s Interscholastic Athletic Associations (MIAA) ‘A’ Conference for four straight years. As they moved on to college, they began to compare notes on opposing FOGO’s and became confidants. With college over, Alex moved on to the next level playing in MLL as well as on the 2010 US World team, but has since retired. Meanwhile David currently works for a financial institution in New York and still gets a little competition in on the weekends playing in the American Lacrosse League (ALL). Together they have collaborated to run camps and improve younger face-off men’s techniques in order to give back to the sport that has given them so much over the years. Their passion for the sport of lacrosse and, more importantly, passion for their individual roles as face-off specialists throughout their careers drove them to offer their own instructional face-off specific camps.
